Bahrain Football Association technical affairs department head Abed Al Ansari has visited Cambodia and Hong Kong in order to prepare for their upcoming Fifa World Cup 2022 qualifiers in both countries in the coming months.

The Bahrainis are in Group ‘C’ of the Asian qualification process alongside Iraq, Iran, Cambodia and Hong Kong. They play in Cambodia on September 10 before facing Hong Kong on November 14.

Al Ansari visited potential sites where the senior men’s national team will be staying and training, as well as the official match venues. He was accompanied by officials from the football federations of both nations.

Bahrain’s first qualifier will be against Iraq on September 5 at home, after which they fly directly to Phnom Penh.
