MANAMA: A greater investment in technology is needed for Islamic banks to accelerate sustainable growth and succeed in the digital economy, says the chief of International Turnkey Systems Group (ITS). Esam Alkheshnam, who is in Bahrain to take part in the 26th edition of the World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC), told the GDN that while banks are already partnering with ITS to upgrade their core banking platforms to enhance their user experience, improve performance and reduce costs, they need to do more.
